Coronary angiography and distal terminal aortography which were performed in the same session, revealed50% stenosis in left common iliac artery and total occlusion of bilateral superficial femoral arteries. Transthoracic echocardiography examination revealed interventricular septum as 17 mm and pulmonary artery pressure as 30 mmHg. He had diabetes mellitus regulated with oral antidiabetics and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which was consulted to chest department and reported as mediumrisk for surgery, in his medical history. 24 years before his admittance, he had total laryngectomy for laryngeal cancer. Patient was consulted to ear-nose-throat department preoperatively.

جراحی بای پس عروق کرونر بدون استفاده از ماشین قلب- ریه: روشی مطمئن برای ریواسکولاریزیشن کامل

In recent years off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery (OPCAB) has emerged as preferred method for revascularization of coronary arteries in relatively selected group of patients. Considering patients receiving incomplete revascularization need significantly higher postoperative catheterization and re-intervention (PTCA or CABG), we performed this study to identify safety and feasibility of th...

Carotid angioplasty and stenting in a patient with high grade stenosis of Internal Carotid Artery associated with both vertebral arteries and contralateral carotid occlusion

Severe internal carotid artery (ICA) stenosis is a common cause of cerebrovascular accident (CVA) in middle-aged patients. Contralateral carotid occlusion (CCO) in patients with severe ICA stenosis is associated with high risk of CVA. Carotid endarterectomy (CEA) is associated with more complications in patients with CCO than those without CCO. In this study, we present the case of a 61-year-ol...

Evaluation of the Patency Rate of the Coronary Arteries after Treatment with Heberkinase

Background: Intravenous thrombolytic therapy is still the most common treatment for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in our country. In recent years, some cases of suboptimal results of the treatment with a special trademark (Heberkinase) have been reported. So, we decided to evaluate the patency rate of arteries involved in infarction after treatment with Heberkinase. Materials and Methods:...
